You have to hand it to Rich - Life is to enjoy. Way to go!!

I need to get the final summary from Joe Angelico, but over 50 classmates showed up for the festivities. Many wives and other ladies were in attendance. The Bears kicked serious ass Saturday afternoon. The weather was typical New England early fall. I had a great time catching up with people and seeing some folks I had not seen in over 40 years. I was only sorry it ended so quickly. I have begun to post photos as I have received them (Wayne Till, Chad Doherty, Cliff Carter and Cliff Appel, to date.) I would appreciate any additional pictures.

One of our classmates, Kris Barrett, died recently. Here is an article I saw in the California Reserve Officers newsletter. Although Kris did not graduate from USCGA, he had a lifelong love of the Coast Guard and was proud of his association with the Class of '67.

Dear Paul,
After an illustrious career the last active duty member of the Great Class of '67 exchanges his uniform for civies. But there is life after Coast Guard retirement as Casey and I have discovered.
Your Retirement Ceremony I believe will be at what I knew as CG's Washington Radio. In 1951 I spent three weeks there preparing to make Loran charts and surveys for the Air Force during the Korean War. Casey and pre school Aleda followed me five months later. In those days Casey was always ready for adventure and travel but now she is on an O2 tether and seldom leaves home (except with a portable tank). I do not leave her alone for more than a few hours (like the night of the 35th class reunion).
It is with deep regret that I must decline the invitation to your final CG honors. Our medical and care problems prevent it. However our thoughts will be with you and Jane. We wish you a long and happy life together and great satisfaction in whatever you do.
With high regards,
Sincerely,
Roy and Casey
Please convey our best wishes and regards to classmates in attendance."

Dick & Libby Cook, Doug & Sue Miller, and Paul & Jane Pluta joined Chad & Joan for afternoon well spent.
Braving the remains of the Washington DC snow storm of the century, a small band of hungry faithful journeyed to banks of the
Chesapeake for great food and good conversation. Chad's new family member, Bernadette, provided entertainment.; Photo Op; Note: Page may be slow loading....
